Abusive Acts Coverage Disclosure
Pavel Alter Inc. dba Roots Travel, a New York State-based travel agency and tour operator,
maintains a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of its clients. However, it is
important to disclose that any claims arising from abusive acts, including but not limited to
harassment, that occur during tours or travel arrangements organized by Roots Travel, are
excluded from our insurance coverage.
This disclosure is provided to ensure transparency and to encourage travelers to address
any safety concerns promptly with their tour representatives or local authorities.

Disclaimer of Liability and Mandatory Insurance Requirement
By booking with Pavel Alter Inc. DBA Roots Travel (“Roots Travel”), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Assumption of Risk
Participation in tours, experiences, and activities arranged by Roots Travel involves certain inherent risks, including, but not limited to, physical injury, illness, property damage, or loss. These risks may arise from natural hazards, the actions of other participants, travel delays, or conditions beyond the control of Roots Travel. By participating, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to proceed with full awareness of potential dangers.
2. Limitation of Liability
Roots Travel acts solely as an agent for third-party service providers, including but not limited to tour operators, transportation providers, and accommodations. Roots Travel does not own, operate, or control these providers and is not responsible for their actions, omissions, or negligence. Roots Travel disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during your trip, including but not limited to:
• Accidents or incidents during activities (e.g., hiking, swimming, cycling, etc.)
• Loss of or damage to personal property
• Delays, cancellations, or changes in itinerary caused by factors beyond our control
Under no circumstances shall Roots Travel be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
3. Mandatory Liability Insurance
To ensure your safety and well-being, all travelers are required to purchase liability insurance before departure. This policy must cover:
• Medical expenses, including emergency evacuation • Trip cancellations, interruptions, or delays
• Personal liability for damages or injuries caused to third parties
Proof of insurance must be submitted to Roots Travel prior to your trip. Failure to provide proof of adequate coverage may result in denial of participation without refund.
4. Traveler Responsibilities
It is your responsibility to:
• Disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect your ability to participate. • Follow safety guidelines and instructions provided by Roots Travel or third-party providers.
• Obtain and carry all necessary travel documentation, including visas and passports.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roots Travel, its affiliates, employees, and agents, from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from your participation in the booked travel experience.
6. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
